What Participants have to say about the Fiction Crafters Cohort and the course Your Novel: From Premise to Published

"Writing is typically a very solitary pursuit, but I recently discovered it takes a village to raise a happier, healthier author. Last year, I risked joining Ginny’s 31-Day Platform Challenge, which was so helpful I hooked up with her Fiction Crafters Cohort, which domino-ed into being adopted by her Romance Crafters Genre Cohort. My smartest authorial investments to date. "

Marline Williams, 2023 Participant

"If you seek accountability, encouragement, and resources to take your writing to the next level, do not hesitate to join Ginny L. Yttrup's Fiction Crafters Cohort."

Mella J. Davis, 2023 Participant

I took this course this year and it is excellent. Combined with the Cohort it was the boost I needed this year to kick start my new project. I have signed up for the Cohort once again. The community is vital!

Judy Utman, 2023 Participant

"Building community with other writers in the Christian fiction world is invaluable. Everyone I've met in the Cohort has encouraged me and imparted hope that I too have something to share as a writer. Their feedback is a treasured part of my growth as a writer. When you join, you'll find a great group of people who engage with you when you step out and try something new in the writing field."

Tamara Wanner, 2023 Participant

"Ginny L. Yttrup's Fiction Crafter's Cohort program is a must if you wish to write fiction well. It is well orchestrated to give participants valuable information, sound teaching, and comradery with writers coming from all writing backgrounds."

Karen Jennings, 2023 Participant

"Because I was familiar with Ginny Yttrup’s expertise as a novelist and writing coach, I had high expectations for the From Premise to Published Course + Cohort. In fact, my lofty expectations made me nervous. What if I couldn’t keep up with the lessons? What if I asked dumb questions? What if I ended up feeling overwhelmed and frazzled?

Throughout the year, my writing—and my love for writing—grew stronger. The weekly lessons helped me improve my writing skills, explore my publishing options, and define my online presence. My Cohort friends came alongside me to share the fun times and the I’m-pretty-sure-I-have-no-idea-what-I’m-doing times. Ginny Yttrup was impressively available with thoughtful, timely resources.

Did the From Premise to Published Course + Cohort meet my expectations? It exceeded them. Would I want to do it all over again? I’d love to."

Laura Joy Lloyd, 2022 and 2023 Participant

"The From Premise to Published Course + Cohort is one of the best things I've done in my writing career. Hands down. Ginny's bite-size lessons and concrete examples walk you through the entire writing and publishing process.

After all the writing conferences I've attended, it amazes me that you can get this all in one place. And at your own pace."

Eileen Grafton, 2022 and 2023 Participant

"Ginny's novels prove she has the heart of a writer. I read most of them before she offered the Fiction Crafters Cohort. When my husband gave me the opportunity to learn from her as a Christmas present, I could hardly wait to start.

Ginny puts every resource at her disposal into the Course, answers questions, and listens to each writer's concerns. If you want to follow Jesus in your writing life, no matter what stage you're at, and if you need someone to walk with, Ginny offers not only herself but a whole community."

Jane Baker, 2022 and 2023 Participant

"Working under the mentorship of award-winning novelist Ginny L. Yttrup and her mentor friends in 2022 and 2023 really improved my fiction game. Ginny is an inspiring coach and exceptionally gifted encourager."

Jill Wilson, 2022 and 2023 Participant

Join the Fiction Crafters Cohort!

Make 2024 the year you connect with other writers and industry experts and build the writing community you need.

Why a February 1 start date rather than January 1? Each year, I encourage writers to take the month of January to rest, to pray, and to plan for the year ahead. I believe rest for a writer's mind, body, and soul, are as important for their writing careers as honing craft skills, building platforms, and publishing.

If you enroll in the Cohort before February 1, you'll receive Your Strategic Writing & Publishing Plan: A Guided Journal to use as you rest, pray, and plan.

Don't Miss the Course!

Your Novel: From Premise to Published

Your Novel: From Premise to Published is the only course of its kind offered to fiction writers who also follow Jesus. With access to 30+ lessons included in 7 modules, you’ll learn all the elements necessary to craft an engaging novel for the Christian or general market, proven methods for connecting with readers before publication, and the key information you’ll need to traditionally or independently publish your book.

Pair the Course with the Cohort and you'll receive guidance when you want it. Your guide, Ginny, is available throughout the yearlong Cohort, to answer questions via the Q&A sessions, offer her expertise in the group coaching sessions, and interact in the private Cohort community.
